Is the Huntsman Cancer Institute owned by the Huntsman Family?
Huntsman Cancer Institute is part of the University of Utah health care system; it is not owned by the Huntsman family. In 2005, the Huntsman Cancer Institute was named the official cancer center of the State of Utah.
What is the Huntsman Cancer Foundation’s mission?
Our sole purpose is to raise funds to support the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute and to ensure excellence in these endeavors through the development and prudent stewardship of private resources.
How can I become a Sponsor or Donor to this event?

There are no minimum or maximum limits for one time or monthly donations.
What is The Circle of Hope Challenge?
As a participant in this Challenge, each player is entered in all tournament contests. Each will receive an opportunity drawing ticket and other benefits.
What is the Walk of Hope?
The Huntsman Cancer Institute, founded by Jon M. Huntsman Sr., is located on the Circle of Hope Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah and has been a place of HOPE for so many families that have loved ones afflicted with this dreaded disease. The “Walk of Hope” borders this beautiful complex where “engraved pavers” are placed honoring or memorializing cancer patients and others affected by this disease. A donation of $350 will entitle the donor the opportunity of honoring such a loved one.
How can I support this event if there are no golfing “slots” available?
There are many opportunities to join or support our “Team” in helping to eradicate cancer from the face of the earth as Jon Sr. vowed to do in 1995! Please let us know of your interest by contacting us directly. We appreciate your interest.
What is memorial or corporate signage?
Memorial and corporate signage are signs which will be displayed on the day of the tournament for a fee. Memorial signs will honor individuals who have struggled with cancer. Corporate signs will display the logo of the company. Signs are available to the corporation or individual to take home at the end of the tournament. Contact us directly for pricing and details.

What are some of the milestones the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and Institute have achieved since 1995?
- The Huntsman Cancer Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015. Since 1995, the Jon M. Huntsman family has contributed approximately $400 million to the construction, maintenance, and operation of Huntsman Cancer Institute.
- The Jon M. Huntsman family and Huntsman Cancer Foundation have raised additional $1 billion, for a total philanthropic investment in Huntsman Cancer Institute of $1.4 billion. More than 120,000 individuals, foundations, and corporations have supported the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
- In 2015, The National Cancer Institute (NCI) awards Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) Comprehensive Cancer Center status, with a score of “exceptional” – the highest designation possible
